About

It all started when…

The first glimmer of the idea to switch to massage therapy happened for me during a time of deep introspection. I had just finished an incredibly challenging but beautiful and satisfying 5-day hike. I was enjoying some much deserved R&R afterwards (a massage of course!) when the idea came to me. I think because I had just done something that pushed me out of my comfort zone, I had the confidence to do it again and make a major career change.

I decided to go into massage therapy as a second career because I discovered through being a yoga instructor that I really enjoy helping people feel better and I especially like learning about how the body moves and works. Being someone’s massage therapist is a very close relationship and can also be a relationship that happens during vulnerable times in a client’s life.

I am a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). I studied for two years at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. I’ve also completed all levels of Dr. Vodder’s manual lymph drainage which means I can treat people with lymphedema. As my practice has grown, so has my love of treating people with lymphedema. That is now the focus of my continuing education. I attend conferences on lymphedema, participate in a working group with other lymphatic specialists and take courses when I can.

I call south Etobicoke home and love this community. I am an avid runner and can be seen enjoying the beautiful waterfront trails in the neighbourhood.
